The Breast Cancer Charities of America is pleased to announce that EXIT Lone Star Realty will be the presenting sponsor for Wine Women & Shoes Houston. This is the second consecutive year that EXIT Lone Star Realty is the presenting sponsor for Wine Women & Shoes, returning on September 29, 2016 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

“We’re very fortunate to have EXIT Lone Star Realty back as our presenting sponsor for Wine Women & Shoes,” said Erica Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America. “Just as breast cancer has touched each of us, it has directly touched them as well, and we appreciate their passion for helping to educate and empower women to prevent and survive breast cancer.”

“EXIT Lone Star Realty is excited to be the presenting sponsor again for Wine Women & Shoes. It touches home even more that both my niece as well as a dear friend/client (both breast cancer survivors) will be modeling in the runway show as survivors,” said Susan Mack, Owner/Broker of EXIT Lone Star Realty. “BCCA is such a worthy cause and it is wonderful to see how the event is growing. It’s going to be even more fabulous than last year if that’s possible!”

The New York-Style Runway Show will be spotlighting the night this year with local and name-brand designers. For the third annual event, Dillard’s will be the Exclusive Fashion Show Sponsor, showcasing their newest fall fashions; Kendra Scott will be the Exclusive Jewelry Sponsor as well as hosts of the popular ‘Sip & Sparkle’ station; Uptown Park’s custom shoe designer, LUCHO, is back as the Exclusive Shoe Sponsor and will be displaying their fabulous stilettos. Other marketplace vendors are Rhinestone Leopard, Magnolia Mey, Armarillo de la Bella, and Marmi, who will all be selling their new fall lines.

This year, Wine Women & Shoes is honoring those touched by breast cancer in a very special way. All of the runway models will be women who have been affected in some way by breast cancer: survivors, family members, medical personnel and more will be showcasing every look and sharing their inspiring stories of hope.

Tickets for Wine Women & Shoes are available now. VIP tickets and Platinum VIP tables are available on a first come first serve basis. Sponsorship opportunities also remain. To find out more information visit: www.WineWomenandShoes.com/Houston  orwww.iGoPink.org

The Breast Cancer Charities of America is serving women across the nation through their Feeling Beautiful Again program. This service provides women who are battling breast cancer with a beauty bag of hope. If you or someone you know is battling breast cancer, request a free Feeling Beautiful Again bag!

The Feeling Beautiful Again kit, which comes in a reusable pink tote, is full of beauty products to make a woman feel feminine and beautiful again. Amongst the lip gloss, blanket, nail polish, and more, women will also find education information on breast cancer, a step-by-step workbook and the organization as a whole.

“We often hear that after losing a breast(s), eyelashes, hair and dealing with the skin changes that come with cancer treatments, a woman feels less feminine and less like herself,” said Erica Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America. “With these Feeling Beautiful Again bags, we hope to help remind a woman that she is beautiful and strengthen her self-image.”

This little act of kindness can brighten a woman’s day and give someone struggling through the emotional and side effects of breast cancer a new lift on life.  If you or your company may be interested in setting up a ‘Beauty Drive’ to assist with collecting the items put into these bags, or if you know of someone who may appreciate or be in need of a Feeling Beautiful Again bag, please visit www.iGoPink.org/FeelingBeautifulAgain or call us (936)231-8460.

The Breast Cancer Charities of America is in the process of accepting applications for their iGoPink Scholarship, which is granted to students whose families have been affected by breast cancer.  The iGoPink Scholarship is a Houston-only program service of BCCA servicing our local community.

“So many patients that we service will reach out to us, saying that the thing they care about the most is that their breast cancer journey doesn’t impact their children.  Many fear that the costs of treatment may inhibit the family’s ability to send their child to college,” said Erica Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America.  “That’s where the iGoPink Scholarship can step in and help these local families.”

Those awarded will not only receive the scholarship, but will also have the opportunity to be a part of a survivors photoshoot, produced by Holly Davis Photography, which will be featured on The Breast Cancer Charities of America’s webpage, sharing their survivor stories and testimonies with hopes to inspire other families who are going through the same struggles.

Recipients must live within 50 miles of Houston and have an immediate family relative who has been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last year. If you or someone you know is graduating this spring, learn more and apply by April 21st on our iGoPink Scholarship page.
